Well 2009 is here officially and now its time to kick it off with some predictions and some resolutions. Each year it’s been the norm to give a little guidance or insight on what people are planning to do with their year that lies ahead. So let’s start with some predictions:

In the challenge coin world many sellers depend on eBay to bring them through in profits and inventory. Unlike most years eBay treated coin sellers with the worst season for sales yet in 2008. There were peaks from some but most seen a down turn in their overall sales. The economy is no doubt have an effect through the sales even with gas prices hovering at their lowest prices in three years. In every way conceivable round coins are the standard, maybe to the point where it’s what the majority of collectors know. Sure they may have seen coins that are not round but they don’t “know” about them. It’s been over the last decade that these strangers have come into our world being in the shape of an aircraft, artillery, bullets, animals, and whatever else the imagination has offered us.
